ABOUT ROBERT

BIOGRAPHY

Robert Francis Geyer, Jr, 73, also known as “Rob”, “Bob”, “Bobby”, “Berto” and “Uncle Berto” passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2022. 
 

He was born on December 11, 1948 in Queens, NY to Ellen Sullivan and Robert Geyer, Sr. 
Bob was a proud member of the New York District Council of Carpenters for many years.

 

He served his country during the Vietnam War.  
 

Bobby was passionate about model airplanes and spent every free moment building, trimming and flying his airplanes competitively.  He was a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics, the National Free Flight Society, the Brooklyn Skyscrapers and SAM-7.  
 

When not flying, Berto could be found on a lake fishing with his brothers.  
 

Robert is survived by his wife Lisa Pacelli, son Brian Pacelli, sisters Patricia Harben and Kathleen (Herbert) Hummel, and brothers Richard Geyer and Kenneth (Kim) Geyer.   His is also survived by his nieces and nephews Joseph Geyer, Lauren (Sal) Posillico, John (Nicole) Geyer, Steven Hummel, Douglas (Karissa) Hummel, Kenneth Geyer, Kyle Geyer and Kaitlyn Geyer, and his great-niece and nephews, Andrew, Thomas and Patrick Hummel, and Gianna and Francesco Posillico. He was predeceased by his parents, brother-in-law Robert Harben and sister-in-law Jeanette Geyer.  His family meant the world to him. 
 

We would like to thank Dr. Hilary Robbins and the lung-transplant team at New York Presbyterian Hospital for their care of Bob over the past 12 years.  We were blessed to have him as long as we did.
